Notts Hollinwell Golf Club
Hollinwell is set in the gently rolling hills of North Nottinghamshire and offers one of the finest examples of traditional heathland golf in Great Britain.
The Willie Park Jnr course celebrated its 100-year anniversary at the start of the century and since its opening has consistently been rated in the top ten inland courses set within our shores.
Hollinwell is frequently used for major amateur competitions, and has, in the past been the host to two professional tournaments, the John Player Classic, which at the time offered the richest prize ever for the winner Christie O'Connor, and the Haig, won by Nick Faldo.
The course is presently used as a British Open qualifier, and Notts Golf Club also has the long term aim of Hollinwell being used for the Walker Cup, probably the most famous amateur golf competition in the world.
We at Notts are very proud of Hollinwell, it is great test, and would extend a warm welcome to visitors from far and near. Come and view Robin Hoods Seat, take a drink from the well that gives the course its name and soak up the atmosphere that only comes with a course of great stature with a wonderful history.
