The course is located in a bowl amidst the South Downs, with the wind playing a major factor on how one tackles the course. The small greens add to the challenge. Royal Eastbourne Golf Club is over 100 years old and is a fine combination of a Parkland and Downland course. Excellent drainage keeps the course open all of the year.
