Golfing holidays and golf breaks in England.
Wellingborough Golf Club
Set in over 160 acres of quiet, secluded private grounds, the 18 hole par 72 rolling parkland course is a test for golfers of all abilities.
An investment of £1/2m by the club in 1999 provided all new greens, bunkers, drainage and irrigation system that included building of a 5.5 million gallon reservoir.
Key holes include the Par 3 4th, aptly named 'Water Spalsh', which can play long into the prevailing wind so be sure to aim for the left side of the green to avoid the water danger; the par 4 8th which requires a tee shot over or around the trees; and the Par 4 18th which requires accurate play throughout as there is danger on the left and right, as well as out of bounds at the back of the green.
No. of holes: 18
