Golf has been played in Woodhall Spa for over 100 years though The Bracken Course has only recently been opened. Although it is set alongside the Hotchkin Course, the design and terrain are quite different. The fairway and greenside bunkers, together with the large undulating greens, provide a resemblance to an American style course. Louth provides superbly maintained fairways, woven through a tapestry of gently rolling, wooded hills. With its panoramic views it lends itself to a magnificent and generously proportioned parkland course, full of variety and interest. Blankney is an excellent test of golf and, some say, one of the sternest in the Lincolnshire area. It is an open parkland course with mature trees lining some of the fairways and, thanks to its flat nature, is fairly easy walking.
Located in the attractive Lincolnshire market town of Horncastle, the Best Western Admiral Rodney Hotel is situated mid way between the Cathedral City of Lincoln and the East Coast seaside resorts. Originally a coaching inn, it has been the subject of a major refurbishment and redevelopment scheme and now offers international standards of accommodation, comfort and cuisine in its range of stylish en-suite bedrooms, lounges and restaurant.
