Aldeburgh Golf Club

Saxmundham Road, Aldeburgh, Suffolk, IP15 5PE

Voted No. 83 in the Golf Monthly/HSBC
Top 120 UK Course Rankings - November 2006

Aldeburgh Golf Club is one of the Top 100 Courses in the British Isles, and is described as 'an undiscovered gem' by Golf World.

Aldeburgh is a challenging heathland course, mainly designed by J H Taylor, over-looking the estuary of the River Alde. The course has a distinct links feel and greens which are always top class. Visiting Aldeburgh Golf Club, which was founded in 1884, is like taking a step back in time, and playing golf in another era. All golf is played in two-balls, foursomes being the favourite format of the members. The Club has hosted many top national events, most recently the English Ladies' Championship in 2003.

A good challenge to all standards of players, there is also a 9 hole course which is suitable to players new to the game and holiday makers, a handicap certificate is required and it has an excellent clubhouse and facilities.
