Golfing holidays and golf breaks in England.
Chichester Golf Club Hunston Village, Chichester, West Sussex, PO20 1AX
Located in the heart of the Sussex countryside, 10 minutes from the Cathedral town of Chichester and close to the South Coast, Chichester Golf Club offers the chance to get away from it all. With a choice of two 18 hole golf courses, superb clubhouse facilities and your own dedicated locker room, you can be sure that your Society will enjoy a day to remember.
Cathedral Course
At 6461 yards, the Cathedral is a real challenge for the regular golfer (handicap required), with many water hazards and expansive bunkers to catch the wayward shot. Large greens test your putting skills, too. The front nine boasts a 601 yard par 5, which will challenge the best golfer. This is sandwiched between two formidable par 3's over water which make the first nine. The back nine is more subtle with two par 5's reachable in two for the more adventurous and the short but deceptive 15th, framed with 300 Portland stones, and surrounded by sand.
Tower Course
An easy walking 6175 yard par 72, the parkland-style Tower suits all standards of golfers (no handicap required), with its generous fairways and some testing features around the greens. The Tower has a good balance of holes which make for a more forgiving alternative to the Cathedral. However, there are still plenty of challenges from the picture postcard third to the dog-legg seventh. Water comes more in to play on the back nine with sixteen and seventeen running alongside the Braemere Rife.
The clubhouse provides a comfortable and relaxing environment to enjoy a drink and food from the menu.
