Best Western Duke of Cornwall Hotel, Plymouth
St Mellion is Cornwall's golf capital and its two courses are known to be amongst the finest in the county. Designed by the man himself the dramatic landscape and immaculate condition of the now legendary Nicklaus Course offers a unique and challenging golfing experience. The "Old Course" at St Mellion is a championship golf course in its own right. It was opened in 1976 and at just under 6000 yards, has many holes which will test the very best golfer. Located in south-west Dartmoor, in a quaint little town called Whitchurch Down, Tavistock Golf Club offers one of the most challenging rounds of golf you are likely to enjoy anywhere in the whole of the south-west England. Its course measures 6250 yards over eighteen holes and has more than the occasional hazard for you to work your way around in search of a low score.
The Best Western Duke of Cornwall Hotel is Plymouths most individual hotel and the ideal base for exploring Devon, Cornwall and The Eden Project. One AA rosette for fine food served in the elegant restaurant. There are 72 Bedrooms (each individually designed) with television, Internet, hairdryer, trouser press and 24hr Room service.
