The course itself is a fair par 70, constructed in the 1920's between what was then the main road between Kendal and Grange over Sands on one side, and the south lakes coastal railway between Barrow and Lancaster on the other.
The clubhouse also offers exceptional views, overlooking the course towards the hills and mountains of the Lake District in the distance, and the flowering shrubs provide colour all year round.
