Hawkstone Park Golf Club Weston-under-Redcastle, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY4 5UY
Golf at Hawkstone Park is truly a unique experience. The tremendous landscape is ideal for its two championship courses and 6 hole par 3 course, offering a wonderful contrast, suitable for golfers of varying standards.
Hawkstone Course
The Hawkstone course which was opened in 1920 and built around the 12th Century Redcastle, meanders through some of the most dramatic landscape in England. The course is a traditional parkland design with fairways lined with Oak and Birch renowned for its spectacular views. The course underwent some alterations suggested by James Braid in the late 1920s; and has remained largely unchanged since that time.
Championship Course
When Brian Hugget, former Ryder Cup Captain designed this course he blended the Shropshire countryside into a creation that combines both traditional and modern golf course architecture. This course has many Americanisms including oval tees, fairways with mounds, and greens that are large and gently undulating. A challenging but fair test of golf for all.
The Terrace Bar and Restaurant are open all day and offers a wide choice of beverage and food whilst providing panoramic views of both courses from a balcony and roof terracing.
