Set high in the Cotswolds, Chipping Norton is a pleasant downland course that's open to winds. If you happen to be playing into the wind, some of the long par fours can be quite daunting and will test your long iron play to the limits. Visitors to Burford will see a course with tree-lined fairways that are always in good condition and a delight to play. The course is fairly flat and although not long at a maximum of 6,401 yards, it does offer a comfortable round for golfers of all ages and handicaps. Tadmarton Heath is a sensational eighteen hole golf course that will seriously challenge the best players whilst still being forgiving enough to beginners. The course has a charming history, set as it is on the site of an old Roman encampment.
The Best Western Jersey Arms Hotel is a Cotswold stone country inn. Built in 1245, it features log fires in the winter and traditional beers in the bar along with superb food in the restaurant. All of the 20 bedrooms are en-suite including three suites, one with a four-poster bed. The hotel is only 10 miles north of Oxford and 3 miles from Bicester Village, a high quality discount-shopping village.
