Kendal Golf Course

From its elevated position, overlooking the historic old market town of Kendal, the panoramic views that unfurl as one plays this course are quite breathtaking.
From the east you can see the splendour of the Westmorland Fells and beyond to the Yorkshire Dales. While viewing from north to west the full majesty of the Lake District mountains and valleys open up, before later looking southward towards Morecambe Bay and the Lancashire Plain. The northern reaches of the course are within the Lake District National Park.
Kendal was recently lengthened to a par 70 to make it a more significant challenge, and whilst there are some holes that will trouble less advanced players, for the most part it accommodates all levels of ability. The course has an excellent reputation for the fine standard of its greens and fairways and the limestone drainage ensures the course is playable all year round.
