Keswick Golf Club Threlkeld Hall, Threlkeld, Keswick, Cumbria, CA12 4SX
Keswick golf club is renowned for its outstanding Lakeland views and superb facilities. Sitting on Threlkeld Common the course has scenic panoramic views of Blencathra - one of England's highest mountains - Skiddaw, Clough Head and other North Lakeland fells.
Its eighteen parkland holes provide a stern test for golfers of all abilities, and although it is not particularly long - it measures just over 6000 yards off the Championship tees - the par of 71 indicates a tough, challenging round lies in wait. Its numerous hazards, including strategically placed bunkers, tight, tree-lined fairways and fast, well-protected greens, will testify to that. On a clear day, it is an especially impressive and beautiful course to play.
There is a superb bar and restaurant serving excellent local food and drink, which has an outstanding outlook across the fells.
