Sherwood Forest is a traditional heathland course with an abundance of heather pines and silver birch. Originally, Harry Colt laid out the designs of it, before the five time Open champion James Braid lent his Midas touch to it to make a few alterations to Colt's design. With a background like that, you'd expect a truly stunning course - and you won't be disappointed if you go there. Hollinwell is set in the gently rolling hills of North Nottinghamshire and offers one of the finest examples of traditional heathland golf in Great Britain-golf-club. The course is over 100 years old and since its opening has consistently been rated in the top ten inland courses set within the UK. Worksop is very much a classic English woodland course and was made famous around the world by the exploits of its most famous ever member - Lee Westwood.
