Golfing holidays and golf breaks in England.
Northampton Golf Club Harlestone, Northamptonshire, NN7 4EF
Northampton Golf Club is one of the oldest in the region, having been established for the first time in 1893. It has the distinction of having been designed by the legendary golf course architect, Donald Steel, who lent his imagination and creativity to the design and layout of so many other courses in the UK, and, indeed, beyond these shores.
The parkland it is laid out on is luscious and verdant, and exceptionally easy on the eye. Spanning over 6600 yards over eighteen holes, it is a reasonable distance for the discerning golfer also.
Holes of note include the Par 5 12th, at 611 yards off the white tees and Stroke Index 1, it is a genuine 3 shots to the green, and the tricky Par 16th where the only thing separating the tee from the green is water! The same water has to be negotiated when you drive off the 18th.
No. of holes: 18
Length: 6404 yards
