Golfing holidays and golf breaks in England.
Peel Golf Club Rheast Lane, Peel, Isle of Man, IM5 1BG
Laid out on heathland the Peel golf course lies just to the east of Peel on the Isle of Man. The course is extremely varied, with many holes having been cut through pine tree plantations. It offers a complete range of natural hazards from streams, turf banks and gorse.
The longest hole is the par 5 seventh but perhaps the most daunting is the par four dog-legged eleventh, demanding a long and accurate tee shot over a long carry of gorse bushes, to set up a mid-iron second to the green.
The course runs to a par 69, but a score anywhere close to this would be considered respectable given the number of challenges the course throws up. Guests should be aware and respectful of the smart casual dress code that is enforced also. Wearing jeans, either on the course or in the clubhouse, is strictly forbidden.
No. of holes: 18
