Perranporth Golf Club Budnic Hill, Perranporth, Cornwall, TR6 0AB
Perranporth is Cornwall's most outstandingly natural Championship links course. Designed by James Braid in 1927 the original layout has not been changed, a real tribute to good design.
Perranporth is a seaside course and has an advantage over many other courses in that there are magnificent views of the North Cornwall coastline overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Even if one is playing indifferent golf, enjoyment of the game can be maintained by the beautiful scenery and bracing sea air. One should pause for a few moments on the 5th & 14th tees, where the setting and views are as fine as anywhere in the world.
Superb greens which are hard, fast and absolutely true are a feature of this testing and interesting course, which also drains well and is almost always playable off normal tees and greens.
The new clubhouse lounge is spacious and comfortable and the bar is, as all good bars should be, the provider of refreshments. The dining room is light, airy and cheerful and overlooks the 1st tee and fairway. The menu for snacks and hot meals is varied and the food is well prepared and served at very reasonable prices.
