Golf Holidays in East Sussex - Best Western Princes Marine Hotel

Best Western Princes Marine Hotel, Hove

Littlehampton was laid out by Hawtree and Taylor over one hundred years ago and is classic links, with a twist. The course is almost triangular bounded by the yacht harbour and the River Arun to the west, a high line of dunes to the south and mature trees and farmland beyond to the west - giving a few of the holes a parkland feel. Dyke Golf Club takes its name from the nearby 'Devil's Dyke', a ravine that almost links the inland 'Weald of Sussex' with the narrow coastal plain. The main attraction of Dyke is the layout with its contrast of long hard-hitting holes on the western side and the holes of a more adventurous type on the eastern side among which are three first class short holes. East Brighton is a down-land course less than a mile inland with spectacular coastal views. At 6,346 yards and with a par of 72, East Brighton presents a genuine challenge for golfers of all handicaps, whilst remaining absolutely 'fair'. Generous fairways and no impossible carries, virtually guarantee an enjoyable round even if the occasional disaster strikes.

The Best Western Princes Marine Hotel is a seafront hotel with spacious, comfortable, en suite bedrooms. All feature TV, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, radio, trouser press and hospitality tray. Seaview and Four Poster rooms available. Restaurant & bar. Free car park.
