After months of intensive work and £1.6m of investment, the championship 'Manor Course' at Sprowston Manor opened in July 2003. The course has been totally re-designed by renowned architect Ross McMurray of European Golf Design, who was also responsible for the Marquess Course at Woburn and the improvements at The Celtic Manor.
The new course is now one of the finest inland courses in the region and has already hosted a EuroPro Tour event. It measures in at 6,464 yards and features 75 bunkers, water hazards and greens built to USGA specifications. The signature hole is the 7th, a dogleg par four with a water feature running parallel to the fairway complete with a fountain and weirs.
Sprowston is equipped with first class practice and teaching facilities. With a 27-bay floodlit driving range and 5 resident PGA-qualified professionals, Sprowston Manor has an excellent reputation for tuition based breaks and is a popular destination for all golfers.
