Three Counties Hotel, Hereford
Kington Golf Club, on the English/Welsh border is quite unique. A hilly course with views of seven counties, it is said to be the highest 18-hole course in England and Wales. Under the distant gaze of the Black Mountains, the Rolls of Monmouth is a long and undulating coarse which boasts magnificent specimen trees. There is a large wooded hill at its centre thats surrounded by 600 acres of woodland. The Herefordshire is an undulating parkland course, with panoramic views of the Welsh mountains and surrounding countryside. A recent golf publication article said that "if you find Gleneagles too expensive, do the next best thing and treat yourself to a day at the Herefordshire".
Standing in 3.3 acres of landscape gardens just 1 mile from the historic Cathedral City of Hereford, the Three Counties Hotel provides a peaceful haven. Yet step outside and you'll find that the Hotel is conveniently situated on the main A465 road to Abergavenny, the gateway to Wales. A family-run 60 bedroom hotel offering excellent accommodation, an elegant restaurant and an informal, relaxing bar.
