Golf has been played in Woodhall Spa for over 100 years and The Hotchkin has hosted most of the top national and international amateur events. The Hotchkin, one of Britain's finest courses, is built on sandy soil which allows for year round play. Set amongst banks of gorse and broom, backed up with layered canopies of oak, fir and towering silver birch and encapsulated all upon a glorious carpet of heather, the natural beauty of this Lincolnshire oasis serves only to emphasise the majesty of this famous course. The Championship Links at Seacroft has been in existence since 1895 as a members owned family club and they are extremely proud of it. It is a traditional links out and back layout on quite a narrow site adjacent to the Gibraltar Point nature reserve. Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty bordering Hubbards Hills, Louth offers a challenging 6,430 yard 18 hole parkland course. Complemented by a period clubhouse, putting green and practice areas, Louth provides excellent facilitites for both members and visiting golfers.
Situated five minutes from the town centre, the Best Western Vine Hotel is a character hotel dating back to 1770. It has recently undergone a 3/4 million pound refurbishment and provides comfortable accommodation in spacious bedrooms, furnished and decorated to a high standard. Some bedrooms overlook attractive gardens, where Tennyson wrote a number of his poems. A fine-dining restaurant and bars with open fires create a warm, homely atmosphere.
