Yelverton Golf Club Golf Links Road, Yelverton, Devon, PL20 6BN
Considered by many to be one of the South West's best courses, Yelverton is a delightful 18 hole course with great character, that is testing yet fair to all standards of golfer.
With stunning views surrounding it, there are few courses in the Devon area that benefit from natural beauty better than that which is found at Yelverton Golf Club. A very technically demanding moorland course, it is a stern test of character for players of all levels of ability and no matter whether you are a high or a low handicapper you can be sure you will find plenty of challenges here to excite you and keep you on toes throughout.
Do be wary of the many hazards the course has for you to take on. From narrow fairways to greens that are well protected by some well-placed bunkers there is plenty here that will challenge you to the full.
The course drains well in the winter, when the leats that once provided Plymouth with its water supply, are again filled with water. Being situated on natural moorland, the course is blessed with a wide variety of fauna and flora, with rare orchids and eyebrights found along its fairways, and buzzards and Dartford warblers frequently seen overhead.
The club house is friendly and welcoming with full bar and catering facilities available including an attractive bar and a large dining room with splendid views over the Tamar Valley. In addition there is a snooker room and suitable changing rooms.
