Inland Brittany is a patchwork of forests, rivers and green rolling hills, not to mention a wealth of charming medieval towns and villages. Bretons are noted for their hospitality towards visitors, and a few words of their traditional language (most widely spoken in the western half of the region) always goes down very well. Try 'petra po?' (what are you having?) whilst in a bar and your popularity is ensured.
