Dinard Golf Club
The famous Dinard course is the second oldest course in France and was formed over a hundred years ago by Scotsman, Tom Dunn. The architecture of the course has been moulded to the rugged terrain, and many a ball has been lost on the adjacent beaches of the region on this wonderful links course.
The sheer quality of the course enables you to play all year round. Dinard can be demanding from the tee, nowhere more so than the signature 6th hole, but the greens are fair and of exceptional quality.
The length may appear derisory by today's standards, even as a par 68, but when the wind howls, it feels and plays much longer. Only one par 5 provides a real birdie chance, elsewhere difficulties are often small and well defended, thus calling for extreme precision.
The view over the sea is magnificent whatever the weather, and these splendid views make this short but beautiful golf course worth playing.
The Art Deco clubhouse is splendid and the food served inside even more so. Dinard Golf Club is a highly recommended experience.
