Saint Julien Golf Club
Created in the conservation area of Pont l'Eveque, in the heart of the Pays d'Auge with its wooded and hilly countryside, the Saint-Julien Barriere Golf Course is now rated amongst Normandy's greatest golf courses.
This traditional style course is hilly in parts and winds through lush Normandy pastureland. The lower part of the course has several ponds and lakes making good water hazards. It is a difficult course.
Belonging to the Barriere group since the end of the year 2000, Saint Julien Golf Course has undergone some major changes recently and now has a serious reputation.
This course has remarkable greens, the best in the region. Several are not easy to approach - on holes 9 and 18 one has to play over water to reach both heavily bunkered and difficult greens.
The higher part of the course has several teasing tee-shots that could tempt any golfer and when holes are not long they are technically difficult; especially holes 11, 12 and 14. On the front nine there are some delicate spots; the 1st, 2nd, 8th and 9th require a perfect game.
Furthermore, the complete renovation of their reception and restaurant has also helped Saint-Julien to increase it's notoriety. A place to discover... or rediscover because it's new image is a success.
