St Malo Golf Club
In the heart of the countryside near Saint Malo, a former pirate haunt, the Saint Malo Golf Club is a must during your trip to France.
Characterised by rolling fairways the course surrounds Mirloup Lake and borders the forest of Mesnil - it is the largest course in Brittany, covering nearly 250 acres.
There are some huge bunkers and, without a doubt, this is one of the finest of the new generation championship courses in France.
The clubhouse, a former 17th century Priory, has views over nearly a third of the golf course and has modern facilities.
Signature Hole - 16th hole, par 4. To reach an undulating green, you will need a good second shot across a wide reservoir. If this was not enough, the green is protected by bunkers, one of which has an enormous megalithic stone in it. If you are too far right of the green and hit the stone, your ball could easily bounce back into the reservoir.
