Here, set in the land of fairytale chateaux and enchantingly beautiful countryside, we offer a choice of 14 courses, including some of the most dramatic in all of France. Our selection covers virtually the entire Atlantic coastline of Western Loire, from Missillac and La Baule in the north, right down and through into the Vendee. Inland, you'll find a further choice of courses in the scenic heart of the region. There's an excellent variety of hotels too - all are 3 or 4-star and range from the modern purpose built to a 14th century chateau.
With lively resorts scattered all along a coastline of nearly 200 miles, Western Loire offers the opportunity for a multitude of off-course activities. La Baule for instance is justifiably famous for its huge sandy beach, and facilities for sports and leisure pursuits are excellent just about everywhere. Equally enticing in its own way is the local cuisine, including naturally enough, a wide variety of freshly caught seafood.
Angers, Nantes, Saumur and Le Mans all have much to offer, from historic castles and cathedrals, to provincial markets and art galleries. Le Mans of course is home to the legendary 24-hour car race, so a visit to the city's superb motor museum is sure to fascinate. And don't forget to sample the excellent local wines - red, white and rose vintages from vineyards around Saumur and Anjou provide an almost infinite variety.
