The Golf & Coaching Weeks present the opportunity to fine-tune your golf game in the morning, with a round of golf in the afternoon. What's more, we take the programme on tour so to speak, hence you can take your Golf & Coaching Week at the Fancourt Resort in South Africa, in the Western Algarve or indeed in Southern Spain for example. The Golf & Coaching Weeks are suitable for existing golfers, looking to improve their golf games, whilst at the same time experience some wonderful golf regions, resorts and courses.
The objective of the David Short Golf & Coaching Weeks is to provide long term improvement to your golf game, whilst providing you with the opportunity to play some fascinating golf courses in wonderful golfing regions. You will learn the keys that will ensure continuing improvement to all parts of your game, as well as learn how to take your game to the course and how to develop your course management skills in order to play your best golf. With the rounds of golf that take place each afternoon, David Short will be in attendance to ensure that the fine-tuning learnt in the morning, is being applied on the course in the afternoon.
The Golf & Coaching Weeks are also great social occasions and whilst each school may vary, generally there is a fairly equal mix of couples and individual ladies and men on each one.
The Golf & Coaching Weeks provide a thorough and rewarding analysis of your golf game, together with the opportunity to put into practise what you have learnt in some quite stunning golfing locations.

Lagos & The Western Algarve. Portugal
The Algarve has long been famed as a winter golf retreat, with the regions' plethora of super golf courses, its warm climate and endearing culture. The Golf & Coaching Week is based in the wonderful old town of Lagos, with its narrow streets, cafes, bars and restaurants. The accommodation is the superb Marina Club, located adjacent to the Marina in Lagos. The hotel provides spacious rooms, excellent facilities and is within a stroll of the old town of Lagos.
The tuition for the Golf & Coaching Week is based at Morgado Golf Club, a short drive from Lagos. Morgardo presents an excellent Driving Range in addition to chipping, pitching and bunker areas, as well as a separate putting green. Video analysis will take place in the Clubhouse. The golf for the week will involve one round on the Morgado course, an excellent first course, given its forgiving layout. Two rounds will be played on the Alamos golf course, a stiffer test of golf, with narrow fairways and some intriguing water hazards, but a most rewarding one, if the coaching learned in the lead up to the round is applied therein! A round will also be played at the majestic Palmeras Golf Club, where the first hole is a tree lined challenge that takes one down to the sea, where holes 2 to 6 are then true links golf. Holes 7 to 9 take you back up to the Clubhouse, with the back 9 being situated on higher ground, with breathtaking views of Lagos Bay and the surrounding coastline.
A winters golfing programme wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Algarve. The Golf & Coaching Week in Lagos provides the very essence of golf in Portugal, great golf, wonderful culture and all in a warm winter climate.
Costa de la Luz. Spain
The accommodation and golf in the Costa de la Luz is the magnificent Fairplay Hotel & Spa in Benalup. The 5 star Fairplay Hotel offers the finest 'all inclusive' terms, from the use of the Spa, the golf course to a choice of French, Asian or Italian Restaurants in the evening. Luxury at its best and set in wonderful landscape where one can escape the modern world. The coaching will take place on site in the mornings, with rounds at Benalup and the close by Monte Medio Golf Club in the afternoons.
