Great Golf Holidays are delighted to be working with David Short, one of the UK's finest teaching Pro's. Having been a member of the PGA for over 30 years, a former player on the PGA Tour and a Club Pro for over 20 years, David brings the highest quality and experience to his Golf Tours and events.
For the Golf Tour this year, we are splitting our time between the Garden Route, the ever delightful Winelands and of course the must do stay in Cape Town! There will also be the option of a four day extension at the end of the tour to the Eastern Cape, to experience game drives and additional golf as below.

Monday 29th November
Welcome to the Eastern Cape
Farewell to the Garden Route and Cape Town and welcome to the Eastern Cape, home to South Africa's Big 5. The 4-star Bushman Sands Hotel, our accommodation for the short tour, is a delightful blend of rich heritage and modern luxury. The Hotel comprises of 39 bedrooms around a pool area overlooking the Bushman Sands Golf Course. Having checked in, we will embark on an afternoon Game Drive. Accompanied by qualified rangers, we will experience true African big game from open landrovers. Sundowners at scenic spots will offer
the opportunity to take in the tranquility of the surrounding bush. Having returned to the hotel, we will enjoy dinner in the hotel's excellent restaurant

Tuesday 30th November
Game Drives and Golf
The day will start with an early morning game drive across the Bushman Sands reserve. After breakfast we will then play a round at Bushman Sands Golf Club. The 18-hole championship course, designed by Gary Player, follows the banks of the Bushman's and New
Years Rivers, resembling the game's earliest 'links' courses in Scotland with undulating fairways and pot bunkers. Unique features include playing the first stroke over the active railway line, a double green shared by the 2nd and 5th holes, crossing the Bushman's River and New Year's River on various holes and finishing with a final drive over a small cemetery in the centre of the fairway. In the afternoon, we travel the short distance to the Pumba Private Game Reserve. Set against the backdrop of the Eastern Cape's beautiful landscape, the Pumba Game Reserve covers over 6,000 hectares of land and offers guests the thrilling experience of spotting the Big Five in their natural environment. As well as the amazing animals we will find at Pumba Private Game Reserve, for the bird lovers there are over 300 different species of birds. So as you can see, quite a busy day with a reasonable game and golf experience!
A very well deserved dinner will be enjoyed at the Pumba Game Reserve after the afternoon game drive

Wednesday 1st December
Game Drive and Golf
It's up early again for another morning drive. Much of the wildlife is at its most active early in the morning, hence the need to be up with the lark! Breakfast will be taken after the game drive, and we will then play a further round of golf at the Bushman Sands Golf Club. Dinner will be taken in the evening at the Bushman Sands Hotel

Game Drive and Departures
All good things have to come to an end. After heading out on the landrovers once more to view the Reserve's Game, enjoy one last breakfast before the transfer to Port Elizabeth airport to commence the journey home for Chrismas, and with the dream of having experienced South Africa, now a reality
