The Wicklow Golf Club is situated on the cliffs overlooking Wicklow Bay. Recently extended to 18 holes, the course is a challenging test of golf with each hole having its own individual features. It has panoramic views of the Wicklow Mountains to the west and the Irish Sea to the east. The European Golf Course is on traditional links terrain on 200 acres of rugged tumbling sand-dune land. The links has been designed as a strong test of golf, but is playable and enjoyable by golfers of all standards. The Blainroe Golf Course is set on parkland terrain, but has extensive views to the Irish Sea with some holes situated right on the coast. Woodenbridge Golf Course is set in a natural golf amphitheatre in a valley surrounded by wooded slopes on all sides. Two rivers run through the course with many holes being played over river and lake water.
Lawless is a charmimg family run hotel that has been tastefully renovated with individually designed bedrooms featuring elegant victorian or country pine decor. The owners and designers of Druids Glen were greatly aided by their chosen location, four hundred acres of gently rolling, wooded countryside, in one of Ireland's most beautiful counties. Golfing perfection was achieved whilst remaining faithful to the graceful maturity of the original estate and it's wildlife. The design of the European Club has attempted to modernize the traditional values of links golf and this has been achieved with magnificent results. Perched on top of one hundred foot seacliffs, landscaped on all sides and steeped in history, Woodbrook offers a new challenge to today's golfer. Described as Nature's Gift to Golf, the championship Druids Heath course is maintained to Tour Standards and features rolling fairways, natural rock quarries, lakes, trees, streams, gorse, gently undulating greens, traditional pot-bunkers and a testing sea breeze.
Lawless' restaurant enjoys an established reputation for friendly service and fine cuisine, with imaginative and varied menus using fresh local produce particularly fish and game, all of which are complimented by an extensive wine list. While the hotel's bar 'The Thirsty Trout' offers an abundance of character and is popular with locals and guests alike.
