East Clare Golf Club

East Clare Golf Club

This course is set on 150 acres of unspoilt, rolling, quiet countryside with majestic views of East Clare. Hazards include several lakes, bunkers, streams and trees. Large greens complete the challenge.

The parkland course, which opened in 1991, was designed by Arthur Spring and he has done a wonderful job in bringing 11 lakes into play on the course. According to many who have played the course, the eighth is a short hole which will "live in your memory" while the 17th and 18th both have water in front of their greens. It is by no means expensive to play here and you'll certainly be impressed by the facilities on offer, both before and after your game.

East Clare intersperses good scoring chances, such as the back to back Par-5's at the fifth and sixth, with excellent golf holes where concentration and correct club selection are demanded. Water hazards and undulating fairways are a constant feature. Look out especially for the tee-shots at the Par-3's and the approach to the Par-4 tenth.
