Galway Golf Club
Galway Golf Club, founded in 1845, is the oldest most distinguished golf club in Galway city. The challenging 18 Hole Championship course is located in Salthill, with ultra modern facilities and offers fantastic views of Galway Bay, The Burren, and the Aran Islands.
The terrain is gently sloping hillocks with plenty of trees and furze bushes to catch out the unwary. Although not a long course, it provides a worthy challenge. A tight tree lined course with some tiered greens make it very important to accurately place your drives and a good short game is necessary to score well.
