Howth Golf Club

Howth Golf Club

Carrickbrack Road, Sutton, Dublin 13, Ireland

Howth Golf Course was designed by multiple Open winner James Braid and has undergone continuous improvement since its establishment almost one hundred years ago.

The Club is located on the beautiful scenic peninsula of Howth in north-east County Dublin, Ireland. The club features wonderful views over the city of Dublin, south to Dun Laoghaire, Bray and Co. Wickow, north over Co. Dublin and Co. Louth and the sea to the east. On a clear day you can see as far as the Mountains of Mourne in Co. Down.

Howth Golf Course is an eighteen hole, parkland/heathland course with a par 71 measuring 5742 metres. The course offers a challenge to those of all abilities from the beginner to the highly skilled expert. Of particular interest are the unrivalled views of heather, gorse, mountain and seascapes which undergo constant seasonal change. Braid was well known for including dog leg design golf holes in his course designs and the 5th hole in particular is an excellent example of how he blended a great golf hole into the unique Howth Heathers. The exceptional views from the 16th tee are worthy of mention in any golf guide.

The Club boasts a fine clubhouse and enjoys panoramic views south over Dublin Bay and the Wicklow Mountains and north towards the Mountains of Mourne. Enjoy a drink while taking in panoramic views of Dublin city from the Carrickbrack Room or the Shielmartin Room. Snacks are available in the bar at all times.
