Waterford Golf Club
This is an attractive parkland course designed by the great James Braid who was Open Champion on five occasions. Waterford is particularly renowned for the quality of its greens and for its friendly atmosphere.
The first nine demands accuracy from the tee. The back nine is more forgiving and features a great closing stretch with a classic finishing hole. Here the drive is stuck from an elevated tee, with 360 degree view, to a narrow fairway which winds its way downhill, between score threatening gorse, to a receptive green 400 yards away.
Waterford Golf Club is a beautiful 18 hole, par 72 championship golf course that includes a large clubhouse, banquet and dining facilities, a fully stocked pro shop, and a practice complex that includes a practice bunker, a driving range, a short game practice area, and a large putting green.
