Oceanico Old Course
This is the oldest of the five Vilamoura courses that form part of a luxury resort development close to fantastic beaches. Course designer Frank Pennink wanted to create a course in the Algarve that would remind players of those beautiful, challenging inland British courses. He achieved that perfectly.
Opened in 1969, the verdant fairways of the course run through surrounding pine trees. This is a very attractive course with a great variety of holes. The Par 3 holes are all different and visually very beautiful, representing the toughest challenge on the course. They require careful selection of irons and near-perfect ball control. Over the rest of the course, trees play a decisive role, lining the doglegs and punishing any careless strokes. The greens are small, especially on the shorter holes, where there is simply no margin for error.
The 8th is stroke index 1 and at 419 metres it is close to maximum length for par 4's. Stroke index 2 is the 514 metre 16th which is also the longest par 5 on the course. The tranquillity of the course, the immaculate condition of tees, fairways and greens, and the welcoming personalised service received by all those who visit the new, well designed clubhouse with its refined decor make playing The Old Course an unforgettable experience.

What people say: "Thanks very much, we all had a fantastic time. The Old Course was absolutely fantastic. You were very understanding surrounding me asking the same question 10 times. Thank you very much for sorting everything out. Everyone left saying that they were looking forward to next year." Mark
