Golfing holidays and golf breaks in Scotland.
Dalmahoy Golf Club Kirknewton, Edinburgh, EH27 8EB
Dalmahoy's East and West courses are representations of everything that is good about Scottish golf. The two courses, which meander around the lake and across picturesque streams provide a stern test to all and are as enjoyable as any top championship course you will find. Dalmahoy has hosted the Solheim Cup and Scottish PGA Championship, but there is something special here for every golfer.
East Course
The championship East Course is a challenging inland masterpiece. Designed by James Braid in 1927, its celebrity status should not deter the higher handicapper as it's open fairways offer the chance of a very competitive score. You will need to be on your toes however as the par 3 15th is not called "The Wee Wrecker" for nothing! The East is generally regarded as the big brother of the two as it has hosted the more prestigious tournaments. It may be more forgiving from the tee, although Braid's traditional deep bunkers and large, undulating greens are enough to keep you busy.

West Course
The ever popular West Course is shorter than its sister course and offers an easier round of golf. Greater accuracy is required at times however to conquer its smaller greens and tighter fairways. It features a spectacular finish crossing over the Gogar Burn.
