Dornoch Castle Hotel

Dornoch Castle Hotel

The Dornoch Castle Hotel is situated in the square of the ancient and Royal Burgh of Dornoch. The castle dates back to the 15c and was built as a palace for the bishops of Caithness and Sutherland. With award winning cuisine, friendly personalised service, individually furnished bedrooms, comfortable and attractive lounges and a relaxing atmosphere, the Dornoch Castle Hotel is where you can unwind after a day on the fairways and enjoy a little bit of luxury in this most wonderful part of Scotland.

Descriptions of the three courses follow.

Nairn's truly remarkable feature is that from every hole you can see the Moray Firth and the golden colouring and changing lights of the Black Isle. Even more extraordinary - only too easily you can strike the ball into the sea on every one of the first seven holes!

The Royal Dornoch Golf Course is undoubtedly the most important and intriguing course in the area. Rated within the world's top 20, whether you are on your game or not, you will not fail to enjoy the setting with its links flavour and atmosphere.

Overlooking the Dornoch Firth, Tain arguably offers one of the best settings imaginable in the highlands for a round of golf. Designed in 1890 by Old Tom Morris, the layout of the holes guarantees an interesting round for beginners or experts.
