Designed by Willie Fernie, Dumfries and Galloway is set in beautiful rolling countryside in the South West of Scotland. At over 6, 300 yards it is fairly flat with only one or two fairways having moderate inclines.
It has been the subject of extensive tree planting over the years and the addition of two new par fours to replace two par 3's some years ago presents a challenge to low and high handicappers alike.
It has a reputation for immaculate greens and fairways and visitors are rarely disappointed with course conditions. The long fifth, the short 13th and 12th with out of bounds on the right are the most memorable holes.
