Lands of Loyal Hotel
The Lands of Loyal is truly unique and one of our favourite hotels. As you walk into the domed lounge area you are met by a huge open fire (usually roaring, even in summer, albeit with the windows open!), the most comfortable sofa's you can imagine and a Scottish sporting ambience that will live with you forever. Add to this a superb restaurant and comfortable rooms, not to forget the extensive range of whisky and you have the perfect establishment to retire to after a hard day on the course.
Descriptions of the three courses follow.
Gleneagles is a name familiar to most and the Resort offers a very reasonable twilight green fee, which we recommend clients take advantage of on the first day to play the quite excellent Kings Course.
The courses of The Blairgowrie Golf Club are virtually unique and have that wonderful charm found at very few courses where each hole is unaffected and untouched by another. Described by Tom Morris as, "The most beautiful inland green I have ever seen", the Rosemount course certainly lives up to its reputation.
It has frequently been said that if the New Course were not situated next to the Old, then its star would have shone with a far greater degree of brilliance. Located as it is in the shadow of its illustrious neighbour, the New Course can be considered one of St Andrews' best kept secrets.
