Montrose Medal Course is used as a Final Qualifying Course when the Open Championship is played at Carnoustie. This is a majestic layout in the true traditions of Scottish Links golf and is certainly one of the finest on the east coast.

This undulating parkland course is undoubtedly one of the best parkland courses in Scotland. It is a previous host of the Scottish Amateur and Professional Championships, but it was the hosting of the 1999 Open Championship qualifying that really brought it into the golfing limelight. It is an attractive looking course with the Gelly Burn coming into play on a selection of holes.
