Whitekirk Golf Club
North Berwick, East Lothian, EH39 5PR
Although the course was only opened in 1995, Whitekirk is now coming into its prime with several adjustments made over recent years to further enhance its playability and enjoyment.
With high, rocky outcrops, deep, grassy hollows and distractingly fine views over the Firth of Forth, Whitekirk is a welcome change to furlongs of flat, coastal links. But it's a course to be enjoyed for its own attributes and there certainly are plenty of those.
Many of the holes have a links tendency around the approaches where it pays to land 50 yards short and let the ball bounce and roll on - otherwise you'll find it through the back.
The club combines tradition, refined decor, a warm welcome and quality service all in an exceptionally beautiful setting, surrounded by rolling farmland, situated 3 miles east of the picturesque town of North Berwick, with magnificent views to the south over the Lammermuirs and north to Bass Rock and the Firth of Forth.
