Golf Classics
A fantastic opportunity to play some of the true greats of Welsh golf. This mid-week break is one of those 'must play' itineraries.
Day 1 - 18 Holes Nefyn & District Golf Club
Nefyn is quite unique. Apart from having a pub two thirds of the way around the course, the views are exceptional and the course itself is very fair. Arguably the best holes are 11 to 18 which are situated on a headland. It is the nearest to heaven most golfers are likely to get. Ten of Nefyn's holes run alongside the sea and the experience is such that the club's boast is that few people play there only once. It is one of the most beautifully situated courses in Britain-golf-club. Check into the hotel after your round.
Day 2 - Breakfast. 18 Holes Royal St Davids Golf Club
Royal St David's is rightly regarded by many as the finest course in Wales and would be counted in any list of the world's best courses. Only twice do successive holes proceed the same direction so the wind invariably spreads trouble among the dunes and although it is not long, it has been described by professionals as the world's toughest par 69.
Day 3 - Breakfast. Check out of Hotel. 18 Holes Conwy Golf Club
Situated between sea, mountains and a river, Conwy is a traditional links course that throws in deep bunkers, gorse and some very strong par 4's. This famous links course, renowned throughout the area as one of the most challenging of its kind is situated at the mouth of the estuary of the River Conwy and boasts one of the most testing finishes in golf.
For accommodation we have chosen the quality Celtic Royal Hotel in Caernarfon. The Celtic Royal is one of the best hotels in North Wales, with excellent accommodation, cuisine and leisure facilites. Caernarfon is also a historical town and provides the ideal base for this itinerary.
