The north western tip of Wales has proved immensely popular in recent years From Prestatyn down to Harlech there are some quite exceptional golf courses.
The courses illustrated in this Itinerary are three of the very best. Conwy, a famous links course and renowned throughout the area as one of the most challenging of its kind, is situated at the mouth of the estuary of the River Conwy. Royal St David's is rightly regarded by many as the finest course in Wales which speaks for itself. Nefyn is quite unique. Apart from having a pub two thirds of the way around the course, the views are exceptional and the course itself is very fair. Arguably the best holes are 11 to 18 which are situated on a headland.
The Celtic Royal Hotel is one of the best hotels in North Wales, with excellent accommodation, cuisine and leisure facilites. Caernarfon is also a historical town and provides the ideal base for this itinerary.
